No special equipment is required. The test uses headsets or earbuds.
If you detect a hearing loss, don't feel bad. Partial hearing loss is quite common.

This is the most comprehensive, free test available.
This App allows you to test on 3 levels:
- Hearing Sensitivity is used to determine the quietest sounds you can hear.
- Hearing In Noise is a measurement of your ability to hear sounds in the
presence of noise.
- The Questionnaire is 15 questions about your ability in common situations.
By displaying your results in a graph (Audiogram) and showing you an explanation of your results in text, it will help you determine if you have a hearing impairment. You may then email your Audiogram and test results to yourself - or a friend - for printing.
It auto-saves your test too, in case you're interrupted while testing...so you don't have to go back to the beginning and start all over again.
If you do detect a hearing loss, seek the advice of a Hearing Care Professional. There are over 4,000 listed in this App, by distance or by A to Z search, view maps, GPS enabled.
People can generally hear sounds with frequencies between 20 Hz and 20,000 Hz, although this range varies with age and gender. Most people can no longer hear 20,000 Hz by the time they are teenagers and they progressively lose the ability to hear higher frequencies as they get older.
Test your friends and family too, including your parents.
This Hearing Test Free App is the best method of checking your hearing without seeing a Medical Professional.
